Bees and Game

Katniss Everdeen Costumes (source)
I'm hooked. Now I that I've started reading The Hunger Games, I can't stop myself. I managed to finish the book in just two days. But that took hours of reading, non-stop. Every chance that I got - whether in a moving car or right after arriving at home - I read the book. Let me tell you it's been quite some time since a book got me so intrigued. I'm a bookworm, so yes it's natural for me to curl up on the bed with a book opened wide. But The Hunger Games is different, it's got everything (say it in your head like you mean it) all intertwined in a book perfectly. If the movie is successful (which I think will be) it will be like a HP thing. Maybe, maybe not and crazy HP fans don't beat me up here if you don't agree. I just hope the movie includes Katniss shooting an arrow at the apple in the pig's mouth and putting flowers on Rue's body. Or else I'll be very disappointed.  Very. You'll know what I mean if you've read the book. The most emotional part of the book is Rue's (SPOILER ALERT) death. She's my favourite character besides Katniss.

Sometimes I wonder if in the future a similar version of Panem lies there. If it's there, well I hope I wouldn't be part of it. It scares me to think a group of people would be so powerful enough to be able to through a bunch of kids to murder each other. But it's all fictional, right? I just hope the series doesn't just ends at the third book. There's more surely. I hope so. These three books will definitely be in my permanent collection of books, now... where should I buy them....

Okay... going back to the present reality... Just yesterday a swarm of bees attacked our school during sports practice. Sports practice was just finishing and by this time the afternoon sun was high and glaring on us, it was very hot for winter. So, of course, there was excitement as to escape the heat then the coordinator starts yelling into her mic "Get down everybody! Get down!". My best friend and I weren't sitting where the others were, which are on the steps, so we didn't realize it until the coordinator started screaming, "Protect yourselves!". We thought it was another one of her relaxation exercises, but no.

The swarm was more like a black cloud, one that was hovering most of the students at school. You can literally hear their distinctive buzzing sound, ringing in your ear, that's when I pushed my friend down telling her to cover herself. By the time we were down I peeped from under my arms, there I saw maybe a hundred or so bees flying over us. Then it was over.

Well that's it for now, may the odds ever be in your favour.

Bye,
Ni sa
