Back to normal

Warning Long Post! Listen to the the songs below to keep yourself company!

Hi everyone! It's been a long, no a seriously loooong, time since I've wrote anything. I've gone on a bit of a long holiday, haven't I? Well now everything's back to normal. I'm freezing in front of the computer, hands and feet turning numb, my body wrapped inside a blanket. I really, really, really want to tell you guys about my holiday but in the need to do that I must use the aid of pictures, which I need to load but don't have time to. Ahhh... it's nice to hear the sound of typing, which gets my brain going. All those weeks typing on the iPad silently, only the occasional hard tapping sound that comes out, makes my brain think ever so slow! I've been back here for a week and for the past week I've been doing catch up work since I missed a week of school to go (to America!).

The only warm room in my house is my parent's room, with their wooden furniture and floor and the two heaters. My sister and I sleep there for the winters as its way to cold anywhere else and putting all our heaters together and our own body heat will make the room extra cosy. If you're wondering, doesn't the central heating work? Well... we don't have one. Most houses here don't anyways. Here the houses are built for the heat blasting, drying summers, the marble floors and counters, the white walls, the thin curtains. So... my family and I spend most of our times in my parent's room. We do everything there, even eat, which is OK since no insects want to step on our marble floors. I knew going to my room will numb my body. I thought of typing on the iPad, but Bah! I've got to type it up in HTML, which is a programming language. I know HTML because of school, but the iPad makes it difficult switching from one keyboard to another.

Talking about school... sports day is in 2 weeks and just this Saturday we did a whole run through (yes, school on a Saturday?!). Though it's not really school since we didn't study. The coordinator commanded in the mike, "I want nothing else but PERFECTION or else OUT" . Yep, sure is real encouraging. We had to go shoeless (is there such a word) on the field, where it's muddy, to do our yoga. My socks got stained with mud. Eeck. After a few days I went without my socks to the field, as in barefoot, to not get my socks dirty. It went well, should have don't it before to! On Friday I tripped on one of the hurdles, I was neck and neck with my best friend to coming first but no! I tripped on the last hurdle as my shoe flinged off my feet, why? Because I was wearing one of mom's disposable socks, which turned out not so good for sports. I really wished I won! Never mind.

In other worlds... Just finished reading the book Little Darlings by Jacqueline Wilson. S.B lend it to me. It's my second favourite Jacky book after Lola Rose, which is just fantastic. I haven't read a Jacky book in ages. I'm so glad I did read one now, from now I'm starting a Jacky hunt.  Anyways back to Little Darlings... It's a great book since it shows the great contrast of two different lives and shows you the reality of a celebrity's life. You'll know what I mean when you read it. It's definitely on my must read list. It doesn't have an actual blurb but this is what it says on the official Jacqueline Wilson website:

The story of two girls who are worlds apart, but destined to be together . . .

Sunset lives a life of luxury with her beautiful ex-model mum, her world-famous ex-rocker dad and two little celeb siblings. But life on the red carpet is no compensation for rowing parents, constant nagging, intensive media scrutiny and no real friends.

Destiny, on the other hand, is an only child living on a rundown estate with a sickly but devoted mum who constantly tells her that she's really the daughter of a famous former rock star . . .

When the two girls meet in unlikely circumstances, they are surprised to find in each other something they've been missing all their lives . .
.
Jacky has got lots of new books out since I last read them. I really want to read Sapphire Battersea, Lily Alone and Cookie. The next one coming out is The Worst Thing About My Sister. Can't wait! I'll try to find the books in my library, but I doubt it, it's so small! :( I'll need to go to the shops to find them oh well!
I'll try to post at least once a week now! I'll try, my best.

(The List of songs can go down forever, but here a few! Enjoy!)

Bye!
