The List

It's the 25th of December everybody! To those who celebrate Xmas, have a Merry Xmas! And to my grandma a very Happy Birthday!(I doubt she'll see this, she bearly knows how to work the computer) I might not celebrate Xmas, but that does not mean I don't have a List. Like I told you in my last post I'm going to the US (yes I know I'm boasting quite alot) *Grins* and I have been saving for months (no, I'm not telling you the amount, I'm not that boastful)and I've been given an extra amount from my parents. So now here's what I want (note to mom and dad, prepare a larger luggage):

1.School Bag - I've been stuck with the same small, durable bag for 2 years. It was a good size for when I was in Class 5, but now that I'm in Class 7 I need a bigger bag. I know that if I get a bigger bag that means that I can carry more books on my back, which means the bag will get heavier. I don't like heavy bags. But hey, you've gotta sacrifice your bag for school, right? *sarcasm*
2.Boots - I'm ready for "grown up" shoes! To me boots were always that shoe which are associated with grown ups,I don't know why but my brains tell me so. Also they provide warmth, comfort and style.
3.Parka - My old parka is kinda small for me, so this is practical stuff.
4.Sees Chocolate - Dear chocolate lovers, if haven't tried Sees Chocolate, you haven't had the best of your chocolate experience. It's flavours are rich and smooth. It dances on your tongue and does a little tango. Yum! I'm so bringing a bag full to last me a month.
5.Wallet - Lost mine. Gotta get a new one and this time I won't lose it when I put in my bottomless drawer

These are just the top wants that I want. I'll buy the things I'll want when you see it! The rest of the money are for souvenirs for family and friends. Btw, if you're wondering where I am as I'm typing this, I'm in my parent's friend's house in Singapore. Yes, I've arrived safely in Singapore, surviving the long journey from Chandigarh to Delhi(5 hours car drive) and Delhi to here ( 5 hours airplane ride). With both trips my butt as gotten tired of sitting in one tiny space. I've taken a nap and I'm ready to move on with the journey! America here I come!!!

To Luma: That's so great you've got 14 followers now! Congrats! Btw, my class is like an opposite of our class! We like English, but doesn't like (hate is a strong word) maths. We actually like the actual subject but we've got a strict maths teacher. If we don't finish our work, she takes our PE periods. :( Ah well! Congrats again! Also you should do like a special post as you've got more than 10 followers and done your 100th post!

See you! I'm going on with my journey! Happy Holidays!

Journey to the Land of Liberty

Today's my BIG day. I'm finally, finally going to America. I've dreamed of it in my warm bed, counting the days till it came. Now, its here! It might be a long journey, having to take a 5 hour plane trip to Singapore then taking another trip to Sans Francisco that takes 15 hour-ish.

To me the USA is that faraway land where the cool stuff are, the Biggest, the Extreme, maybe not necessarily the Best, but yeah. It's so exciting for me to go outside Asia, I've been to Australia though but this is different. To go so faraway from the familiar Asian environment and experience a place with a melting pot of cultures, is unique according to me. Sure, I know I'll probably land in the US tomorrow or Monday but my journey had begun.

I can't hold my self still! Where I really want to go to  is New York, which has snow. I've never seen real snow before. I've been to Snow City in Singapore and Ski Dubai in (duh) Dubai, which are recreated snow environments, but never real snow. Are they fluffy? Will they melt in my hands? Is it like crushed ice? Can't wait to make snow angels!!!

Also I know this is my first post in along time, I've been too caught up in school work and studying. In India studies are very competitive and you need to work hard if you want good marks. Which reminds me, last month my school started yoga for sports and it is compulsory. My flexibility has it's limits you know and when you put me to do such things, eh! It hurts my thighs and stretches my muscles, I can feel its pulling. We're also doing a yoga performance and we're getting graded on it, the marks will be added to our exams. The school coordinator, which is like a Prime Minister at a school level, tells that my class (as in my whole grade) is pathetic. That's her favourite word to describe us, the "Useless" *Sarcasm* Lot.

(Lights goes out, Screams NOOO!!!!)

Oh yes, I can just hear yelling through her mic Pathetic Class 7! Pathetic you are! Class 5 can do better than you! After a month of practice this is what you give me?! Pathetic! By the way, I don't hate her, I just wish she'd give us more support and not tough love. Though I guess we do need it, we're not exactly the bunch who use our ears. So maybe tough love is good, but can't she give us more ahem... Soft love? Does that make sense? Like nicely....

Than there's our exams that's coming in 2 months! Gosh can't wait for it! Yipee! *Sarcasm* I like school and all, I like learning and knowing new things. But I don't like the dread that comes with it, exams. You've to revise the whole syllabus once again and then get tested for it. The pressure I'm under when I see the exam date getting nearer and nearer,then... BANG! It's just tomorrow! You try to sleep not thinking a thing about it, but it's impossible. What if you forget something? What if you totally blanked out when you see the paper? You try to sleep but in the end only get a few hours of sleep. This time I'll try study harder and start studying for it after I come back from my holidays.

I'm starting my holidays a week early, so that means I'm missing a week of school. Sure that's great and all, the fact I'll be taking pictures on the Statue of Liberty while my friends sit in school doing a test, but then I'll have to do a whole load of tests when I come back. Sigh. School pressure gets me everywhere I go. That's what they like to do, they have alot of tests before holidays so kids remember to study. But trust me, who likes studying during their vacations? I surely don't. I just hope I remembered most of the stuff we've learnt, I so don't want to get brain washed! You know that happens right? Happens to me all the time. Forgetful 'ol me! (Note to self- Don't forget yoga poses)

Another thing I want to tell you, Singapore got flooded. Again. It got flooded last year (or was it this year?) but I never thought it'll flood again. Must be all the trash being thrown into the gutters and drains. Here's a song explaining it all, it's from last year but it's basically the same incident this year.

And here this is my personal favourite song from the same Youtuber (which explains the Singapore Presidential Election Candidates):

LOL.

30 minutes till I have to leave! Brrr.... My fingers are getting numb anyways so I gotta go! I hope this makes up for all the days I didn't post! I have so much to tell you but I don't have the time! I promise I'll tell you when I get back or during the holidays (though that seems unlikely). Oh yeah almost forgot! Shout out to fellow blogger,Luma, for getting 13 (am I right?) followers! Congrats!

I'll tell all about my trip, most probably when I get back!

I must eat Bananas

nom nom nom ( got it from here)
I'm on the weird side of my thoughts again. So be prepared...

For the past few days I couldn't do my business and so my mom suggested to eat bananas. I have nothing against bananas personally, I actually like them. But just the thought of eating bananas so I can create piles is just... (racks brain for a suitable description) ehhhh. Yeah. You know not nice, it's just just like trying to learn to ride a bike but you constantly fail at it. So I'm just waiting to do. my business.

I don't really think it's working either. I have eaten 2 1/2 bananas (my sis ate the other half) and still it's not coming out. Who decided bananas make these things come out anyways? I know they are healthy and I think they are delicious by itself (awkwardly enough though I'm not really a banana split fan).  But if you eat too much bananas you'll start feeling like your grandparents, who barely has any teeth. You can just hear the slush of their teethless mouths sinking their gums into a soft banana ... nom nom nom

Also, lately my mind's been quite. I've got barely anything to think about. I don't know whether it's the weather that's turning my head into a snowball or just me, who's lazy enough not to think straight. (Scratches head) And I'm bored. I've got nothing good to read. Can anyone suggests me anything?

Winters

It's winter. It's cold and I'm desperately trying to keep body heat*. All that I want to do is just wrap up myself in a blanket while I enviously imagine what a wonderful time it is now in Singapore. I know Singapore doesn't snow and I know I don't celebrate Christmas but I can't help but miss the sparkling fairy lights, the huge Christmas trees or the number of crazy sales during this time in Singapore.

Here in Chandigarh all of that stuff is missing. No twinkles. No lights. No everything that makes this time so magical.  When I run I feel like I'm sucking CO2 then I puff and I sit. Eventually I feel lazy and don't do much. My body feels cold and my face is burning, especially my eyes. You might think winters are beautiful (I guess it is pretty when snow grace the trees and roads) but in reality it's a lot to go through. I can only imagine the twinkling lights of Singapore. The only thing that makes the images in my head more realistic are these real pictures. Enjoy!

Disco ball!?

uuuuuu ahhhhhh! It's so magical!

Fairy lights!

Wow.....

The Exhibition

The room was full of people, of which 99% were women browsing over shoes, bags, clothes and other women stuff. I was at the exhibition held in JW Marriott. There were so many textures, colours and designs to look at. Sorry I couldn't take any pictures of the exhibition because I don't know if we were either allowed or not and at the end of the day I don't want to be fined.

To move through the crowd we needed to use our elbows and shoulders, sometimes we needed to shove (not so hard of course) in those small "alleys". It was set up like a bazaar ( FYI we're talking about those Indian bazaars, not the magazine bazaar), but it was by far so so so so (I cannot exaggerate so so so so any more.) much more cleaner and organized.

My mom bought this ready-to-be-sewed Indian clothing:

On the top left corner we've got the dupatta (it's like an Indian scarf click here to see how to wear it), next to it's the main body or the top part of the clothing and at the bottom is are the pants.

When we were buying this, this woman appeared next to mom, by shoving apparently. I could sense she wanted to buy this too,I mean it was quite a reasonably price, but she frowned at mom when the seller told her it was the last piece and mom was buying it. I think she tried grabbing it, but failed as the seller kept staring at her as if she trying to tell her it's taken . I couldn't help but feel like we've won something.

I've got myself a pink shawl:

That's all for now

He's got 5C's

Make that title Simon's Cat is cute. Not Simon, especially no that witty, sarcastic, I-know-I'm-right Simon Cowell. I just discovered him yesterday, the Cat I mean. Cat is so freak'in adorable. He's so lovable. He's chubby, cheeky, curious and cute and a Cat. I would've posted all 18 videos of Simon's Cat, but it wouldn't have been possible. So here are a select few:

This one is my personal favourite. The still eating is of Kitten, not Cat. Cat is the one on the side.

My mom's mom (I call her Oti) loved this one. She says that it reminds her of Donald Duck, which she used
to watch. She laughed at it so much.

The first ever Simon's Cat on YouTube.

This first video called  Cat Man Do, was posted on 4/3/2008, and it got 28,000,000+  views. I was thinking to myself, why didn't I discover this sooner? Where was I? Then I remembered I was only 9 at that time and the Internet for me was usually used for homework purposes, rarely other stuff, maybe I also listened to music. Can't remember....

The Internet is my friend and is included in the list of things I need to survive. Is the Internet your friend (most probably is if you're reading this....) and how do you like Simon's Cat?

Until next time,
